King Horse History
The history of King Horse originates from the glorious victor – Australian General Gurrs who was the first owner of this vineyard. Webster Park, the owner of the vineyard in 1969, started to plant large scale grapes, and since then, the vineyard had been fully operated by one of the largest companies in the Australian wine business, Wyndham Estate Wines Pty Ltd. The founder of the company, George Wyndham, is known as the Father of Australian Shiraz. The world-renowned Hunter Valley Semillion, and George Wyndham's handpicked old vine Shiraz, are stemmed from King Horse Vineyard.
皇馬酒莊的真實歷史源於“皇者與戰馬凱旋而歸”的勝利者-- 凱旋歸來的澳洲將領格魯斯Gurr's 為這片葡萄園土地的首任莊主。1969 年開始，時任莊主韋伯斯特·帕克Webster Park 在這片肥沃的紅火山泥土上大面積種植葡萄，並由澳洲历史悠久的最大葡萄酒業公司之一維恩漢姆酒業Wyndham Estate Wines Pty Ltd 全面經營。其公司創始人是被譽為 “澳洲西拉之父”的喬治·維恩姆George Wyndham。
