The fruit was hand-picked from old vines in King Horse vineyard. The vines were planted in 1969 in Hunter Valley. It's matured in a mix of old and new French and American oak for a minimum for 18 months to deliver a wine fo great character, intensity of flavour and balance. This wine is aged in the bottle before release but has excellent potential for careful cellaring up to 15 years.
